To prove just how negligent of my blog I’ve been, you’ll see that I’m about to begin posting our vision trip. Yes, we went to South Sudan and came back and I never did a countdown or anything!
Our Nasir team–Jared, Keisha, Laura, Christina, Blaise, and I–met up with Natalie of Every Village at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, boarded our KLM flight, and started on our 32-hour journey to Entebbe, Uganda. The super cool part of this trip that was different from previous trips is that this team of adults is our family now. Getting to do this entire journey with them was incredible, and I am again and again so humbled and thankful that I get to serve alongside them!
I LOVE flying, but I do get quite tired of just sitting, sitting, sitting and not being able to sleep. Christina and I got to chat for a while, which was really awesome. And then she and Laura sacked out for most of the flight. Impressive! Luckily for Blaise and I, KLM had a lot of really good movies to choose from, so the first 8-hour leg went by within the span of 4-5 movies. 🙂
I was quite excited about leaving on a jet plane! Here’s me on departure day…
My friend, Myraida, who took us to the airport. She and I work together and she’s pretty awesome!
Terminal D…awwww yeah!
Blaise and I enjoyed some Mexican food just before boarding the flight…
I’ve apparently started a tradition that I get my photo taken with this bull before leaving out of Terminal D. It’s fun and it’s VERY Texan!!
Blaise and I waiting to board our plane. Do we look excited? Because we were…
