Today I could barely even speak as I lifted my prayers to God.  In His perfect wisdom and glory, He has once again worked everything out so perfectly that I am nothing short of amazed.  Blown away, even.

My last day at work is this Friday, April 15th, and I am having a very hard time with the thought of saying goodbye to my students.  They have really grown on me this year, even with all of their crazy antics, bewildering behaviors, and downright stubborness.  They have challenged me this year, and they have taught me so many new things about what it means to be an educator and role model.  Friday will be a very tough day.

However, God is SO good in providing comfort beyond what I could have ever imagined.  Not only did I get to meet my substitute today, but she actually shadowed me all morning.  She is fantastic! God placed someone in my position who will love them as unconditionally as I have, and who will guide them and direct them until the end of the year.  She is a woman with a degree in social work, and an enormous heart (for the kids and for God).  She is completely fine with me emailing her periodically throughout the end of the year to check on the kids (and I will), and I know that they will be well taken care of.

I should have known better, but I worried a lot that I would leave my kids without adequate support.  God has GOT THIS!!!

I do ask that you please pray for me and my students this week.  My position at school is unique, which makes leaving so much harder.  Because I always work with my students in such small-group settings, I get to know them very well and I become attached.  I ask that you please pray that God continues to comfort me and support me as I transition from my students to ministry abroad.  I also ask that you pray for the kids, and that they quickly adjust to a new adult and are able to transition smoothly.  I also ask that you pray for my substitute…she is very sweet, but my kids can be rough around the edges.  Pray that she is able to keep her sanity! =)
