And now I’m going to attempt to catch up on all of the Kampala posts I missed!

This goes back to an evening when Kerrie and I hosted Kerry, Neltia, and their three boys over for dinner and a movie.  Kerry had been pestering Kerrie to make her homemade egg rolls, so we decided to have them over so that Kerrie could make her egg rolls and then we would all watch The King’s Speech.

For those of you who know me, you know that I don’t cook.  I ruin everything I try to cook.  It’s bad.  So, while they cooked up a storm, I took pictures! That, I can do! 😉

While the magic was happening, Kerrie was baking something in the oven.  However, when she looked in to check on whatever was baking, she saw that the flame had gone out.  To light the oven, she had to take a long-handled lighter and manually light it (you know, old school).  She shut the gas off, opened the oven door, and lit the lighter.  BOOM! All of the trapped gas in the stove EXPLODED!!! We all screamed and jumped, and Kerrie immediately began patting herself down because she thought she was on fire.  It was absolutely TERRIFYING…and it was so loud and forceful that it shook the windows in the WHOLE HOUSE! It didn’t burn anything, miraculously, but it frightened all of us…and gave us another memory to add to the box!

Here are some non-exploding pictures! 😉

I heard that the egg rolls were delicious, but I don’t like them, so I ordered a pizza! It was an eventful evening and we really enjoyed the fellowship!
