Christmas time is here! And with it, our Christmas picture book basket. One of our family’s favorite traditions is to read a new Christmas picture book each day leading up to Christmas.
This year, I was actually on the ball and got our picture books wrapped (that didn’t happen last year when I had a newborn in the house). This year I even made cute little tags to help us count the days to December 25th (grab yours below)!
Most of the books on our list are Christ-centered, but there are a few that feature Santa Claus or other secular characters. We don’t actually celebrate Santa Claus in our house, but we do play pretend with Santa and my kids know that he’s part of many Americans’ Christmas tradition. So the Santa books on our list are just for fun. Obviously, feel free to substitute those books out if you’d prefer to keep your basket Christ-focused!
So which books are in our basket this year?

I am so excited to get started reading our books tomorrow! We will be adding our Christmas books to our Morning Basket time each morning, and I know the kiddos are just as excited as I am to officially kick off Advent.
DON’T FORGET TO GRAB YOUR *FREE* PRINTABLE ADVENT TAGS!
I wanted to share the Advent tags I made with you. You could use these for your own book basket, or as a part of your Advent calendar.
I printed mine on heavy cardstock paper, hole-punched them, and tied them onto our Christmas picture books. Hopefully these bless you!
So there you have it…our 2020 Christmas picture book basket list!
Do you have favorite Christmas books we should add to the list? If so, I’d love to hear them!
Merry Christmas!
